Sinner's Prayer
If you've come to this page on purpose and are ready to accept
Jesus as your Savior, the angels in heaven (along with the
saints who've gone on before) are rejoicing right along with
us!
"I tell you that in the same way there will be more
rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over
ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."
(Luke 15:7).
This is what the Bible says:
"... all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..."
(Romans 3:23).
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we
were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8).
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you
will be saved." (Romans 10:9).
"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be
saved." (Acts 2:21).
"I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved."
(John 10:9).
You can pray any way you want to. The thief on the cross had a
simple prayer.
"Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your
kingdom." " (Luke 23:42).
and verse 43 says this:
"Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will
be with me in paradise." "
Confess to Him that you are a sinner (Rom. 3:23 and 10:9).
That you realize that you can't get into heaven without His
redeeming blood (Acts 4:12). Believe that He was raised from
the dead (Rom. 10:9). Ask Him to be your Savior (Acts 2:21).
Then accept it by faith that you are one of His...not because
we say so...but because He says so (John 10:9). And once you
belong to Jesus, you can be sure that...
"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no
one can snatch them out of my hand." (John 10:28).
Prayer is nothing more than talking to God. Just like you talk
to your friends or anyone else. If you're ready you can pray
the following prayer or one of your own.
"Dear Lord, I admit to you that I'm a sinner and that I need
your forgiveness. I'm sorry, Lord, and ask you to forgive me
for my sins and come into my heart to be my Lord and Savior.
Thank you, Jesus, for loving me enough to die on the cross in
my place, and thank you for your gift of
eternal life. In your name, I pray. Amen."
